Pinning For Days...

Whom ever came up with Pinterest is one heck of a genius!!! I am seriously addicted! I love how you can find all sorts of helpful ideas from planning a party to crafts to hair/makeup & fashion and so many more. I also enjoy the food & beverage pins, too much! Lol

Just in case you've been living under a rock and have no idea what Pinterest is you may check it out @ http://Pinterest.com I promise you will find many things you will love!

I have tried some of the craft ideas and absolutely love it. One of the pins was about removing stains by mixing blue Dawn dish detergent with hydrogen peroxide, equal parts. I tried and wala stain be gone! There are so many more helpful ideas and most of the pins will have a link that allows you to get the instructions. I have also made a few things and posted unto Pinterest. More to come I hope.

My free time is spent on Pinterest, well some of my free time or maybe too much of my time lol. Check it out & happy pinning!!

Summer 2012

Summer 2012 has come to an end. Being a parent can be so busy and it literally leaves you with no time for much of anything else. That explains the lack of excitement/activities on my blog. These past few months have been hectic and busy busy but here are just a few of the things we were able to get ourselves into:
1. My baby turned 1yrs old and had the most beautiful birthday party in Dallas. Thank you to my family and friends who helped to make this day so special and so beautiful
2. In July we were able to fly out to witness our dear friend's sealing inside the Kona, Hawaii Temple on Big Island.
3. We went for a quick mainland trip for a mini-vacay to San Jose. We spent a whole week there with great friends. Baby was able to do lots of fun activities while we were there.

Last but not least,
4. I attended YW girls camp. This year it was up at the Piiholo Ranch Upcountry. It was lots of fun and great bonding with the girls.

We've been super busy this summer!

Sweet September...

Looking at my calendar I realize my baby is about to turn 18 months. So many changes & challenges yet all a blessing. This is really going by fast. Her vocabulary is growing and she's becoming more and more independent as the days go by. I still cannot believe she's mine and that I have the blessing of being her mother.

Besides running, jumping and drivin us crazy, she's really been the force behind all that we have done this past year and a half. Everything we do is all about her and I don't see it changing anytime soon. We're so grateful to be parents and have this beautiful blessing in our lives.

Cowboy is still around, he's been so good with the baby and I couldn't be anymore happier. A jealous dog is not good, but gladly he accepted her earlier on lol.

As we live today and plan for tomorrow we do so with great faith and hopes that we continue to grow as parents and become better each day....

WHERE HAS ALL THE TIME GONE?????

In a short few weeks my Anela will be 1 YEARS OLD!! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. This time last year we were just putting baby stuff together and getting her things into place. We were in the process of moving into our home and so many more other things were going on. Next thing I was giving birth and who knows where the time has gone, but I'm now planning her 1st birthday party...wow! Never the less I'm grateful and it would take me years to sit here and recall all the wonderful memories we've made together in such a short time. Just grateful that I'm a mom! It's the most amazing, most rewarding thing ever in life!!! I wish all women in this world the opportunity to experience the best thing ever...motherhood

I love my baby unconditional and I can't wait to make more memories with her and see where her path in life may take her. Thank you Lord for blessing me with such a gift....I love you my Anela girl

One Year Later.................

Recently, February 4, 2012 we were gathered in Kahuku, Hawaii (Oahu) to remember the life of our beloved grandmother Maile Hafukimoana Vea Vimahi, she passed a way a year ago. This past year has been a year of ups and downs, some good and some bad but gratefully I can say we've all made it and if she were still here she'd be proud of the accomplishments we've all been able to attain. Her heart was unconditional and loved each of us exactly that way. Since she's been gone 3 new babies have joined the family. My daughter Anelaokalani born in March, Lyn's daughter Maile, born in October and Neva's son Toimoana, born on Thanksgiving Day. All three have brought so much joy into our family.

My sister who lives in Dallas came with her little family and we flew into Oahu from Maui. We spent the whole weekend together and as always our time together was well spent. We started our weekend off Friday gathering all the material for her grave sight and gathering our foods for our Saturday feast. Early Saturday morning we all gathered at the cemetary and the men of the family started building a lil wall around her grave and added beautiful tiles along the side. We had a yummy brunch and later that evening had a delicious family dinner. We talked about grandma and all our good times together and we knew her spirit was definitely there......there were no tears, just lots of laughter and lots of good food, company and memories made.

Families are Forever, a promise we hold on to dearly for we know it to be true. We love you grandma, til we're together again!

Changes....

I started the New Year with an optimistic outlook for myself and my family. I made a list of the things that were current in my life and highlighted the things that I felt needed much improvement. As always my weight was at the top of the list LOL, but it's to the point now that I just take it as it comes and work on it to the best of my abilities. There were family goals and personal goals that need a lot of improvement and some needed to be deleted completely.

Needless to say so far that optimistic outlook I had has some what dimmed. I on the other hand have found myself back at square one trying to figure things out once more. I can sit here and think of a million things that I can do to better my situation or to make my "dreams" come true, but motivation to do it hasn't hit me yet LOL! So meanwhile I'll have an opportunity to update my blog more frequent and probably gain a few more lbs and add to the list of projects I have going on sitting in a corner waiting. I will hopefully get to edit the last million photos I have in boxes and bins and finish my daughters quilt and throw myself into a few service projects.

On the brighter side of this, is the fact that I can stay at home and watch my daughter grow. She's now trying to walk and saying all sorts of things even though the orgin of her language is yet to be determined :) So until my life takes another turn may it be good or bad, I'll sit back relax and enjoy my time home with my daughter.

Middle of February Already?????...............

Looking at my calendar to make an appointment I flip through the pages and land on "February 14, 2012"..ALREADY????? This year just began I thought :) Needless to say it's  Valentines Day or Lovers Day, Sweethearts Day or whatever lovey dovey names people have come up with through the years. Our Valentines is also the birthday of our now 5yr old Pitbull, Dallas Cowboy. I can't  believe how fast time has sped by and in a short 2 months my Anela will be 1yrs old. This day was spent together having lunch and a lil birthday shopping for Cowboy. I remember when we first got him and how tiny he was and now he's a 90lb monster, a sweet one at that. I can't imagine spending my day any other way but with my lil family.
